Richmond Hill City Council on Tuesday night approved tougher measures an effort to fight COVID-19.
The resolution requires restaurants within the city limits to stop serving dine-in customers and do take out only, closes gyms and fitness centers and requires churches to broadcast worship services.
It also requires that barbershops, beauty salons, tattoo parlors and similar businesses to go to appointment only and "deep clean" between appointments.
The measures end April 3 unless it's extended or ended earlier by a vote of council. The restrictions only apply within the city limits of Richmond Hill.
