RH Montessori owner announces retirement, sale of school
Audrey Singleton

Richmond Hill Montessori Preschool is being sold to Endeavor Schools, a Miami-based education company with private schools in nine states.

Montessori owner Audrey Singleton, who established the school in 1994, announced the sale in a news release sent to the Bryan County News Tuesday afternoon.

The financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.

In the announcement, Singleton said she is retiring "after 25 years of serving children and parents for all their childcare needs."

She said, "Over the years I’ve been approached by a few folks who were interested in either investing in or acquiring Richmond Hill Montessori Preschool – but none was just right, for one reason or another. Then I was introduced to the people at Endeavor."

Singleton said she learned more about the company and felt certain of her decision. "Many of the schools in the Endeavor family are highly-regarded Montessori programs and childcare centers similar to Richmond Hill Montessori Preschool. Through the immensity of their network, they are able to introduce some of the best practices and share all sorts of incredible things among their 30 other schools."

She added, "I will assist Endeavor through this acquisition to ensure that our vision and philosophy will remain the same, Richmond Hill Montessori will continue to adhere to the national accreditation NAEYC standards."
