A Richmond Hill man is facing another allegation of child molestation.

Records obtained from the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department show Donald "Donnie" Hillis was arrested June 4 and booked on a second charge of child molestation.

His first arrest for the same charge was May 29.

Jail officials said Hillis, 66, was booked on June 4 and posted his $35,000 bond later that day.

The charge stems from an investigation that began May 16 by the Richmond Hill Police after a neighbor allegedly saw Hillis fondling a young neighborhood girl on the side of the road.

The neighbor then contacted the girl’s family, who contacted police.

Richmond Hill Police Chief Billy Reynolds said Thursday that Hillis, who reportedly was assaulted prior to his first arrest, was rearrested on June 4 as part of the original investigation into the molestation allegations.

Reynolds said the second victim was a female and is believed to be related to Hillis.

"This (case) is still under investigation," Reynolds said. "We’re trying to get as much information as we can."

Reynolds said details of the case are part of an investigative report filed by the detectives working the case and said since the investigation is ongoing, that information is not available to the public.
