Rain forecast moves Geechee/Gullah Pre-Juneteenth Fest to J.F. Gregory Park

Due to the forecast of  rain Saturday, the Pre-Junteenth Geechee/Gullah Festival has been moved to J.F. Gregory Park. It was previously set to be held at Boles Park. 

The festival will be from noon to 5 p.m. 

Sponsored by the David Boles Foundation, the event will feature authentic Geechee/Gullah food, art, story telling, testimonials and live music.

“We are descended from the rice plantations. Please come and share our culture,” the organizers said.

Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chair for seating.
