Entering auto

Aug. 17 — Around 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to Black Creek Church Road in Ellabell after a woman reported a catalytic converter missing from her car. She said she was inside her friend’s house and believes her ex-boyfriend stole the item.

Aug. 21 — Deputies responded just before 2 p.m. to Mack English Road in Ellabell after a man said his wallet was stolen from his truck. The man’s bank card, driver’s license and about $200 were in the wallet. He said his bank card had also been used to withdraw $200 from an ATM. The man told deputies he thought it was a man who rents an apartment from him.

Theft by taking

Aug. 18 — Just after 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to Toni Branch Road in Ellabell after a woman said two black males approached her at the BP gas station in Ellabell and grabbed her handbag. The bag contained 90 prescription pain pills, a credit card and a debit card.

DUI

Aug. 19 — An Ellabell man was pulled over for speeding around 2:30 a.m. on Highway 204 in Ellabell. He said he was speeding to get home and let his dog out, but deputies thought he smelled of alcohol. He told deputies “you got me” and admitted to being drunk when they asked how much he had to drink.

Armed robbery

Aug. 21 — Deputies responded around 1 p.m. to Camellia Drive after a Pembroke man said he was robbed on Black Creek Church Road in Ellabell. The man said he turned onto Black Creek Church Road and was waved down by a black male standing next to a black sedan with the hood up. The man stopped and the black male pulled a hand gun and demanded money. The man said $60 cash and a $100 phone was taken.

Possession of marijuana

Aug. 19 — A Pembroke man was arrested around 10 p.m. after he was seen speeding and then hit a fence and tried to flee the scene. Deputies smelled marijuana and alcohol on the man and saw a beer can in the vehicle. The passenger told deputies the driver had drank a six pack of beer. Deputies found a plastic bag of marijuana and a loaded pistol in the glove box. The driver was also cited for DUI, reckless driving, speeding, open container and fleeing and attempting to elude.
