New website for voters

Secretary of State Karen Handel has launched a website and toll-free hotline to provide information to voters about photo identification requirements for in-person voting beginning with the Sept. 18 special elections. Georgians can visit www.GAPhotoID.com or call toll free 1-877-725-9797.

The website lists the required forms of photo identification and tells voters how they can obtain a free Georgia Voter Identification Card. The website also features a frequently-asked-questions section and detailed contact information for voters with additional questions.

Additional outreach initiatives, including direct mail, public service announcements, and partnership programs with community organizations will be launched leading up to the special elections and beyond.
