Dozens of area residents got an inside look at the new Richmond Hill Middle School on Thursday when the school’s staff hosted an open house.

Teachers, faculty, Board of Education members and board staff greeted visitors as they toured the new school, getting an exclusive look at all of the facility’s features.

Elisa Berman, a teacher in Liberty County, said she wanted to look at the facility after driving by it often.

“It’s beautiful, it’s our first time in here,” she said. “When we heard they were opening it up for this, we decided to come check it out. I drive by here all the time and I know people who work here. I like it, it’s very nice.”

Teachers from other Bryan County Schools also attended the event. Diana Harn, a teacher at Lanier Primary school, said she wanted to see what all the talk was about.

“I’ve heard a lot of talk about how great of a school it is and I wanted to see it. It’s very impressive,” she said.
