The Bryan County NAACP will host its first annual scholarship golf tournament Thursday, May 5 at the Ford Field & River Club in Richmond Hill.
Registration is at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Registration fee for individuals: $300. Foursome fees: $1,200. Fee includes box lunch prior to shotgun start, beer, drinks, snacks on the course, and award ceremony reception. For the food and drink reception only, tickets are $125.
Tournament proceeds support the BCNAACP Higher Education Scholarships which were developed to assist highly motivated, intrinsically driven students who strive for academic and community excellence. Based on the number of applicants, BCNAACP will award scholarships of up to $2,000 to high school seniors attending Richmond Hill High School and Bryan County High School graduating in the 2021-2022 school year. Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 based on the 4.0 grading scale may apply.
