The Richmond Hill Historical Society is offering a free open house of its museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday where visitors will be able to see new displays, interpretive panels, photos and artifacts depicting life on Byran Neck over the years, including native Americans, African American heritage, rice cultivation, plantations, the Civil War and the Henry Ford era, including industries such as fishing, shrimping, oystering and moonshining. A wine and cheese reception will follow from 5 to 8 p.m.
