Not to be outdone by their counterparts in the Spanish Honor Society, two other groups of student leaders at Bryan County High School recently held drives to gather important items for those in need.

During December the Bryan County High School Future Business Leaders of America collected scarves and gloves for the homeless and presented several bags full to Bryan County Family Connection Dec. 20.

Bryan County Student Council sponsored a food drive during the month of December, collecting around 700 items for the emergency food pantry in Pembroke. Each student council member shared the responsibility by collecting, counting and packaging goods. The items were delivered Dec. 19.
