The Richmond Hill Lion’s Club announced Dale Mitchum’s induction into the District 18N Lion’s Club Hall of Fame.

This award honors members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment and service to their club and epitomizes the club’s motto, “We Serve.”

Mitchum joined the club in 1985 and has been an active member since.  He has  sponsored seven new members in addition to receiving numerous awards:  5-Member Key, Builder Key, Senior Builder Key, Master Key, 25, 30 and 35-Year Monarch Chevron, as well as becoming a Silver, Gold and Diamond Centennial Lion.

President Tommy Brookshire said, “Dale Mitchum is someone I am proud to call my friend and a true Lion in every way imaginable. He steps up to serve where needed and the club certainly appreciates his willingness to serve the Club and our community.”

Brookshire added, "He donated a Welch Allyn Vision Screening Instrument which enables us to provide the service of vision screening for school children in Richmond Hill.  During the COVID-19 pandemic he made it possible for our club to purchase supplies for the local schools to continue those vision screenings.  He was also extremely instrumental in the building of the Burnard Exley Clubhouse which our club is beyond blessed to have."
