The Richmond Hill Kiwanis Club and Richmond Hill High School Key Club will host a carnival-themed charter event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.

During this event, community members will have the opportunity to get to know Kiwanis and Key Club members and learn more about these organizations.

This free event will include Lowcountry boil, waffles and ice cream for attendees’ enjoyment, as well as a bounce house, face painting, outdoor games and sensory bottle making.

“This fun, family event will be such a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to the community,” said Richmond Hill Kiwanis Club President Megan Myrick. “We are grateful to Love’s Seafood, Waffle House, CJ’s Inflatables and Chubby Cheeks face painting for graciously providing delicious food and fun activities for this event.”

Local Kiwanis Clubs look out for communities while the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty.

Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. Key Clubs core values include leadership, character building, caring and inclusiveness.
