Boles Park off Harris Trail Road will the site of the Pre-Juneteeth Geechee/Gullah Festival from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 11.
Sponsored by the David Boles Foundation, the event will feature authentic Geechee/Gullah food, art, story telling, testimonials and live music.
"We are descended from the rice plantations. Please come and share our culture," the organizers said.
Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chair for seating and a rain date is scheduled for June 25.
