Savannah’s The Gaslight Group, a food and hospitality company, finally opened their latest The 5 Spot restaurant in Richmond Hill this January, after establishing popular locations in Savannah’s Sandfly and Midtown areas. 

“This restaurant will not only bring our popular The 5 Spot concept to Richmond Hill, but it will also allow us to employ 50-60 team members from the local area. My hope has always been to own the type of restaurants that employees not only seasoned professionals but is also a place where our community feel comfortable sending their kids for their first jobs and where young people will want to work after school or on their summer breaks,” said Brian Huskey, owner of The Gaslight Group.

The 5 Spot Richmond Hill, like the other two The 5 Spot locations, features a range of classic American dishes such as burgers, grits, and cheesesteaks, with an emphasis on comfort eats and “family-friendly” dining.

 “We want to have something for everyone in your family on our menus. Our signature hand-breaded chicken fingers alongside delicious salads and creative burger options.” said Huskey of their offerings.

The 5 Spot Richmond Hill is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week with a weekend brunch menu planned to begin in a few months. The restaurant also hosts a Happy Hour, which is Monday-Friday from 4-6pm with $2.50 cocktails and $5 domestic beers and house wines.

Of their first week in business, Huskey said, “The support that we’ve received from the Richmond Hill community in our first few days has been outstanding. You all really know how to make a new business feel welcome. We are grateful and can’t wait to exceed your expectations with our food and service.”
