Bryan County Commissioners are expected to adopt new county commission district boundaries during their first meeting of 2022, according to a tentative agenda sent out Wednesday night.

Also at the Jan.. 18 meeting, which will be held at the Commissioners Meeting Room in the Court House in Pembroke, the commission is set to hear a presentation on the library, present a lifesaving award, hold a handful of public hearings on community development items and then make several appointments to various boards -- including the Board of Assessors, the Planning and Zoning Committee, a Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee and the Board of Elections and Registration.

The meeting, usually held the second Tuesday of the month, was pushed back a week. It begins at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
