Bryan County volunteers pulled together to help make Christmas brighter for 125 families in the North Bryan area and over 320 Children county-wide.

Bryan County Family Connections, the Good ol’ Boys out of Richmond Hill, Pembroke Telephone Company, Bryan County Sheriff’s Department, Pembroke Police and Richmond Hill Police led the way for many volunteer groups throughout the County to help raise funds and gather donated toys, clothes and other Christmas wishes for children of less fortunate families in the community. The Bryan County Board of Education, area fire departments and local business also provided drop stops for gift donations. Many area churches also added Christmas Angels to their Christmas trees so that congregation members have the opportunity to participate in the program. Many other volunteers offered do the shopping for the children.

"Watching this operation come together with all the Toys and Clothes the Tuesday before they were handed out was heartwarming," said volunteer and Pembroke Telephone Company employee Angela Reed. "There are a lot of good and caring people in our area. Everything went so smooth. Family Connections has this operation down to a science. A lot of people help work to make the holiday special for all the kids.  It runs incredibly smooth."

The fun does not stop at Christmas. Throughout the year Bryan County Family Connections sends birthday cards and presents to children who are in need. They also help with Back to School supplies for these children. If you would like to donate to the cause please call Tara Jennings with Family Connections at 756-3602.
