The Friends of the Richmond Hill Library and the Common Threads Sewing Group will hold a book and craft sale from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the library on Ford Avenue. There will be a variety of books to choose from, and prices typically range from 10 cents to $1, according to FOL book-room coordinator Gloria Shearin.

Common Threads will offer hand-quilted, crocheted and knitted items, such as ornaments, earrings, quilts, hats, blankets, caps and booties.

In addition to books and craft items, tickets to the upcoming Richmond Hill 2014 Holiday Tour of Homes will be on sale for $20. The tour features five homes, historical society buildings and St. Anne Catholic Church. A tea will be held at St. Anne’s featuring homemade goodies. This event is sponsored by the Richmond Hill Friends of the Library, The Richmond Hill Garden Club, the Richmond Hill Historical Society, Arts on the Coast and St. Anne Council of Catholic Women.
