A Wednesday afternoon smashup on Highway 280 in Black Creek sent one person to the hospital, according to Bryan County Assistant Fire Chief Otis Willis.

Willis said a delivery van collided with two tractor trailers shortly after 3 p.m. on Highway 280 between Wilma Edwards Road and Frank Hendry Road.

The driver of the delivery van was transported to Memorial University Medical Center, Willis said, while the drivers of the two tractor trailers did not seem to have any injuries.

Georgia State Patrol and Bryan County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the accident.
