The following are press releases from colleges and universities announcing graduations and academic honors for local students:
Kennesaw State
Kennesaw State University has named nearly 5,000 students to the President’s List in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2022 semester. To achieve this honor, each undergraduate student must have completed at least nine semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.
Students from Richmond Hill making the President’s List include: Brandon Beckwith, Patrick Vickers, Bryce Eads, Justin McPhillips, Jordan Ryan, Kelvin Leahy, Jackson Hendrix, Charles Tuttle, Haley Keller, Lauren Cunningham, Alexa Vinasco, Gabby Doney.
Kennesaw State University also named nearly 6,800 Owls to Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester. Undergraduate students enrolled in at least nine credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 earn Dean’s List honors.
Students from Richmond Hill on the Dean’s List include: Geoffrey Sawers, Taylor Clifford, Stanley Brandon, Castle Kroleski, Parker Smith, Isabell Perry, Christian Gehrke, Peyton Kunert, Avery Zieba, Lucia Gonzalez, Bridgette Popov, Bailey Shumate and Bennie Trujillano.
Georgia College
Wiley Bundy, Thomas Petrino and Christina Rymer, all of Richmond Hill, made the President’s List at Georgia College.
Georgia College recognizes its students from the College of Arts and Sciences for their outstanding work for the 2022 spring semester.
Univ. of Alabama
Dequiala Kelly of Richmond Hill has received the following degree from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences. UA awarded 5,907 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies on May 6-8, 2022.
Piedmont Univ.
Katherine Stigall of Richmond Hill has been named a Piedmont University Dean’s Scholar for the Spring 2022 semester.
Students who are named a Dean’s Scholar achieve a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester.
Stigall was among more than 200 students earning the Dean’s Scholar designation.
Also, Alfred Roberts of Richmond Hill was among more than 300 Piedmont University Students who achieved a GPA of 3.50-3.99 to be named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester.
University of Maryland
Heather Siemienkiewicz of Ellabell earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies from University of Maryland Global Campus.
Coastal Carolina
Nearly 1,000 students were named to the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University for the Spring 2022 semester, including Aaron Bedgood, a Management major from Richmond Hill.
Students who made the President’s List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.
Austin Peay
Austin Peay State University is proud to recognize Christian Lopez-Romero from Richmond Hill as one of the students named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement during Spring 2022.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or greater.
