Dr. Steve Dorman, president of Georgia College in Milledgeville, has awarded degrees to the graduating class of August 2019, including Justin Covington and Morgan Nesmith, both of Pembroke. 

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 1,850 students for excellence in academics on the spring 2019 president’s list. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester. Thomas Marciniak of Richmond Hill made the summer 2019 Academic Achievement list at Georgia Southwestern State University and was among 400 students recognized for scholastic achievement.To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.
