Shya Lewis of Richmond Hill was recently accepted to the University of Massachusetts School of Law on a merit scholarship.

Lewis is a 2015 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and 2019 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she earned a BA in political science with a minor in French.

According to Lewis, she chose the University of Massachusetts law school for its high bar passage rate and its public interest law program.

Uyen-Vy T Hoang of Richmond Hill has been named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Grinnell College in Iowa. To make the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

Valdosta State University recently announced the members of its graduating class of spring 2019. This includes the following area residents:

Amber Givens of Ellabell. Bachelor of Science in environmental geosciences

Connor McCarthy of Richmond Hill. Bachelor of Arts in political science

Bethany Poole of Richmond Hill. Education Specialist in school counseling Ohio)

Bridget Varnedoe of Richmond Hill. Master of Education in adult and career education.

The following local residents have earned a degree from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Jenna Burch of Richmond Hill. Bachelor of Science, business management.
