A "Meet & Greet" forum with Democrat candidates for the 1st District U.S. House of Representatives, will be held Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 185 Poplar St., in Pembroke.

The "Meet & Munch" portion of the event with the candidates will take place between 11 a.m. and noon. The forum is from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Hosted by the Bryan County Democratic Committee, candidates scheduled to appear are Wade Herring, Joyce Marie Griggs and Michelle Munroe.

They are vying for the congressional seat currently held by Republican Buddy Carter.
