The Richmond Hill YMCA is launching its annual campaign this month to ensure Bryan County residents have access to community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
This launch is a part of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia’s annual campaign kickoff, which raises support to serve six Coastal Georgia counties.
“Throughout Coastal Georgia, countless people know the Y. But there’s so much more to our Y than one might think,” said Rachel Meuser Bowman, chief advancement officer, YMCA of Coastal Georgia. “The Y is more than a gym — it’s a cause. As a charity, we’re dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being and giving back and providing support to our neighbors.”
The Richmond Hill YMCA hopes to raise $18,000. This goal is a part of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia’s total campaign goal of $630,000. Funds raised will support a parent with after-school care, enroll a pre-diabetic in the YMCA’s diabetes-prevention program, provide a child with swim lessons and other programs.
