Navy Seaman Apprentice Samantha L. Gervickas, a 2010 graduate of Richmond Hill High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill., with honors and was promoted to her current rank.

Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice Casey L. Hearn, son of Jeana M. Cobb of Midway and Ronnie L. Hearn of Richmond Hill, recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J.
He is a 2011 graduate of Richmond Hill High School.
