CYSS registered youth can visit Cumberland Island Seashore from 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday. The barrier island off the Georgia coast is known for its wild ponies, pristine beaches and forests, Dungeness Castle and First African Baptist Church.
The trip is for CYSS registered youth (grades 4-12) to learn more about their surroundings and meet friends. Registration continues through March 24.
The $10 fee covers transportation, ferry crossing and child supervision.
Tickets can be purchased at Parent Central Services, 767-2312 (Stewart) or 912-315-5425 (Hunter). No refunds granted after March 24 and a $5 cancellation fee will be applied after March 24 or for no-shows.

Teen Skate Jam at Corkan
Teens, enjoy a fun night out. Come to a skate jam under the cool lights and music from 8-10 p.m. Saturday at Corkan Family Fun Center. Bring your favorite music and it will be played on the sound system. Stewart's curfew rules apply. The cost is $5 per person.

Families In Training Sign-up
Registration is under way for Families in Training, a six-week program at Tominac Fitness Center that develops and maintains physical activity and fitness.
The program allows family members to exercise individually or on teams. There's no charge, but registration will close on March 28.
Tominac is in building 919 at Hunter Army Airfield.

Bedtime Stories at Hays Library
Children up to age 12 are invited to hear bedtime stories from 4-5 p.m. March 30 at George P. Hays Library.Wear your robe, plus bring your favorite blanket and stuffed animal.

MWR Yard Sale at Stewart, Hunter
The Great MWR Yard Sale is coming to Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. April 16.
Spaces are still available at the Hunter Credit Union parking lot, but the lot at Club Stewart is full.
The sale will be held at homes in post housing areas at Stewart and Hunter, as well as the parking lots.
Active duty, family members, retirees, National Guard and Army civilians may sell. The cost is $5 per space at the parking lots. There is no charge for on-post housing sellers, but they must register. The public is invited to shop.
All sellers must sign up at the Sports Office on Fort Stewart, or Tominac Fitness Center at Hunter.

Museum of Science and History Trip
Register by March 31 for a Leisure Travel trip to the Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville on April 2.
The tip costs $20 per person and includes admission and the science and animal shows. A planetarium show is an extra $5 for the first program and $1 for each additional program. For details, call 767-2841 at Stewart or 912-315-3674 at Hunter.

Outdoor Wildlife Jamboree
An Outdoor Wildlife Jamboree will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1 at Holbrook Pond Recreation Area for CYSS youth in grades 5-12.
April 1 is the first day of a month-long observance of the Month of the Military Child.
The Jamboree provides an opportunity for military connected youth to gain better appreciation of various endangered species and wildlife indigenous to coastal Georgia. There is no charge. Transportation and cookout are provided.

BOSS Open Mic Nite
Got talent? Bring it to the BOSS Open Mic night starting at 7 p.m. April 1 at Rocky's Zone. Single soldiers are invited to bring instruments, read poetry or let the audience hear their vocal talent. For more information, call 767-9917.

"Fools Day" at Corkan
No fooling, in celebration of April Fools Day, where will be a discount on the price of roller skating at Corkan Family Fun Center all day. Hours are 1-9 p.m. The $3 per person cost includes skate rental. For more information, call 767-4273.

Character Meet and Greet
Youngsters, 12 and younger will get a chance to meet some of their favorite characters during Character Meet and Greets at Hallstrom Lake on Hunter on April 2 and at Corkan Plaza on Fort Stewart on April 9, both from 1-3 p.m.
The character guest list could include Yogi Bear, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White, Shrek, Capt. Hook, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Ariel, Winnie the Pooh, Woody and Jasmine and Aladdin, among others.
Children, who must be accompanied by an adult, will get autograph pamphlets as they enter. They'll not only have a chance to meet the characters, but can have their faces painted or enjoy a craft activity. Snacks will be provided.
The events will close with a character parade. Don't forget to bring a camera.

Girlfriend Day Laser Tag Special
For this month's Girlfriend Day special, Corkan is offering a day of discounts from noon to 7 p.m. April 3 at Laser Tag in the Corkan Family Fun Center. The cost is $3 per game per person all day. For more information, call 767-4273.

Spring Education Forum at Stewart
A Spring Education Forum, during which soldiers, family members and educators can discuss issues and offer suggestions about the education of military students, will be from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. April 12 in the Club Stewart ballroom.
The forum focuses on students enrolled in public and DODEA schools.
Parents are needed to discuss issues and possible solutions in proactive, upbeat discussion groups. Those who cannot be at the forum can make comments and suggestions through the School Liaison Offices website link on the lower left-hand side of the Team Stewart home page.
Parents also can call the School Liaison Offices at 767-6533 (Stewart) or 912- 315-6586 (Hunter) to sign up as participants.
Concerns and suggestions produced by the forum will be presented to area school superintendents at a meeting/luncheon on April 13.
The forum on Hunter will be from 8:30 a.m.-noon April 26 in the Hunter Club.
