'Howl-0-Ween' benefits dog park

The Bryan County Bark Park’s next BYOD (bring your own dog) fundraiser will be “Howl-O-Ween” from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina.  
A best-dressed dog contest will be held. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third places. Prizes for the contest are donated by Billie Murray, Paw Parazzi Pet Boutique and Grooming Spa and the Bryan County Bark Park Association.
Marina owners Butch and Sherri Broome will donate a percentage of all proceeds between 6-8 p.m. to the nonprofit organization behind the Bryan County Bark Park. As well as fresh water, dogs will be able to enjoy special canine-friendly, glucosamine-rich Bowser Beer in Beefy Brown Ale or chicken flavored Cock-a-Doodle Brew for $5 a bottle and tasty doggie bagels for 50 cents each.
Southern Eagle is donating a keg of beer, which will be available with the purchase of a Bark Park koozie for $5 that includes the first cup of beer free and $1 per refill. Fish Tales will be have special themed cocktails with non-alcoholic versions available.
“Bark Park” products with the Bryan logo will be for sale, including new doggie bandanas for $15 each. New supplies of dog and human soap and decals will also be available.  
The money raised supports the Bryan County Bark Park fundraising campaign, a non-profit organization obtaining 501(c) 3 status. Donations may be tax deductible. Visit bryancountybarkpark.com.
