Jazz music is to be featured at the 2nd Thursday Night in the Park concert tomorrow.
It is part of the Downtown Farmers Market in and around Hinesville’s Bradwell Park. The market runs from 4-8 p.m. and the concert will be from 6-8 p.m.
It will feature Bernard Rose, a saxophonist who lives in Hinesville and teaches on Fort Stewart.
“Playing on the marching, jazz and concert bands was just a great experience in school,” the South Carolina native writes on his web page. “I’m not sure what prompted me to get started, but I think it was constantly hearing the music around my house played by my older sister and dad! Much of that music contained highly skilled musicians that made you interested in trying to play stuff like they could.”
He said he specializes in contemporary jazz, gospel and Christian music.
The market will feature area produce, prepared food, crafts, a children’s make-n-take crafts table sponsored by The Heritage bank, and more.
