BRUNSWICK — Golden Isles Arts and Humanities summertime concert series Sounds by the Sea continues on June 12 with soulful Southern songwriter, Jamie Renee and The Walkers.

The four-piece band features ukulele, bass, drums and saxophone and offers a variety of music — from pop to blues.

Jamie Renee, who fronts the band, is also a songwriter. The band has been together for about a year and plays regularly at area resorts including King and Prince and the Westin on Jekyll.

Sounds by the Sea is presented by Golden Isles Arts and Humanities at Neptune Park on St. Simons Island for maximum breezes and bug-free comfort by the ocean. The concerts are from 7-9 p.m. on select Sundays. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic supper and a lawn chair or blanket.

Admission, payable at the gate, is $10 for adults. Children 6 to 12 are $5, and younger children get in free. For information, go to gold enislesarts.org or call 912-262-6934.
