A raffle for a signed copy of the children’s book “Calico Picks a Puppy” by area award-winning author/illustrator Phyllis Tildes of Skidaway Island is under way to raise funds for Save-a-Life.

Raffle tickets are $3 each, or five for $10, and can be purchased at the TailsSpin stores is Savannah and Pooler; CJ’s Hallmark at The Village on Skidaway Island; Live Oak Orchids at the Savannah Mall; and the Save-a-Life table at PetSmart in Savannah on Saturdays. The drawing will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at PetSmart during SAL’s Santa Claws Photo Event.

The nonprofit Save-a-Life provides reduced-fee spay/neuter vouchers, operates a foster program for homeless pets, provides financial assistance for emergency veterinary care for those pet guardians and more.
