The next exhibit coming to Hospice Savannah Art Gallery is a collection of quilts.

The public is invited to meet the Art Quilters of the Low Country during an opening artists’ reception from 5:30 to 7:30 Thursday at the Hospice Savannah Art Gallery, 1352 Eisenhower Drive.

The quilters form a cooperative of award-wining fabric artists who design, stitch and exhibit quilts and have a passion to teach their craft. Their work ranges from the large and abstract to intimate renderings of natural scenes of flora and fauna. They are Ron Hodge, Donna Stankiewicz, Shaaron Thomas, Peg Weschke and Jody Wigton.

The show will last through Sept. 30, and, as always, a portion of sales will help the hospice provide services and programs not covered by Medicare or insurance.
