The Bryan County Bark Park is slated to host a “Pup Pull” fundraising event Nov. 10, and the nonprofit organization is looking for teams and sponsors for the shooting competition that will be held at 17 South Rod and Gun Club in Fleming, owned by Bark Park board member and Richmond Hill-based veterinarian Kyle Christianson.

Registration for this event begins at 2 p.m. The “Pup Pull” shoot will begin at 3 p.m., followed by cocktails at 4 p.m. The event will conclude with dinner and awards at 5 p.m. Teams of four will compete for the opportunity to win prizes and there will be a fundraising raffle to win high-quality guns provided by Pinault’s Defensive Solutions.

“We are really excited about the inaugural Pup Pull event and are looking forward to connecting with the community and gaining support through this new event,” said Bark Park President Wendy Bolton. “This is a new direction for the Bark Park as we have always held evening fundraisers or fun events at the Bark Park. We are grateful to board members Renee Laurie, who has organized the event, along with Kyle Christianson, who offered his gun club as the venue for this fundraising event.”

The mission of the nonprofit organization is to provide a dog park for the community that is safe for families and where well-behaved dogs can be let off their leashes to run free. Proceeds raised from the event will go toward helping the Bryan County Bark Park maintain and continue to improve the park ensuring a clean environment for all responsible dog owners in the community.

Pup Pull sponsorship opportunities and team registrations are available at the following levels: Working Dog Sponsor – $100; Gun Dog Sponsor – $600; and Big Dog Sponsor – $850.
