Eric and Sonia Jacobsen of Roseville, Minnesota, and Gary and Terri Peterson of Richmond Hill are pleased to announce the engagement of Heather Jacobsen and Andy Peterson.

The couple resides in Decatur.

The future bride is a graduate of Roseville Area High School in Roseville. She received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. She is a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The future groom is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. He is a member of Richmond Hill United Methodist Church.

A May wedding will take place in Decatur.
