Black Creek Fitness recently announced the winners of its first Community Biggest Loser 90-Day Challenge, which was held from Jan. 29-April 23.
“With 87 people signing up for the challenge, we knew it was going to be an exciting 90 days,” contest organizers said. “We are so proud of every contestant and hope that this challenge has instilled in each one a desire for continued fitness.
Six teams from Black Creek Fitness completed the challenge and lost a total of 965.4 pounds.
From the registration fee of $10 per person and the weekly weigh-in fees, organizers collected $2,143 by the end of the challenge. 
Ten percent of the total collected was donated to the American Diabetes Association, and the balance of funds was split evenly between the overall individual winner and the overall winning team.
Both the individual and team winners were determined not by total pounds lost, but by percentage of change from the beginning weight.
The overall Biggest Loser was Kim Gay of Chub Club, who won $964.50. The Biggest Loser team was Countryside Church, which also won $964.50
The American Diabetes Association received $214.
“We would like to thank all contestants for participating in the challenge and for all of the volunteer team leaders who so freely gave of their time to continually encourage and support their teams,” Black Creek Fitness staffers said. “Kim Gay, our overall winner, was on the Chub Club team, led by Angel Shurling and Lindsay Seger. Our winning team, Countryside Church, was led by Dianne Futch.”
Black Creek Fitness plans to promote another Biggest Loser in August.

• Gut Busters – 211.4 pounds, 8.95 percent.
• Drop It Like Its Hot – 179.6 pounds, 8.42 percent.
• The Chub Club – 222.4 pounds, 6.86 percent.
• The Full House – 101.2 pounds, 6.16 percent.
• The Shape Shifters – 71.8 pounds, 4.18 percent.
