Don't have a disappointing destination
pastor corner

Sunday afternoon, I was watching a football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. I’m not a fan of either team; the only reason I was watching it was that it was the playoffs.
Toward the end of the game, a Dallas receiver caught a pass close the end zone, but after review, the play was overturned and was ruled a non-catch. It could have affected the outcome of the game and definitely was a big disappointment to the player, the team and the Cowboys’ fans.
I know that this game was not a matter of life and death, and even the most loyal fans will get over it. There are issues, however, that are matters of life and death.
All of us are going to one day die and spend eternity somewhere. Where we end up is based on one particular play in the game of life: What did we decide to do with Jesus Christ?
If we choose to be a follower of Christ, then when we face the creator of the universe, we won’t have to worry about disappointment. We don’t have to be worried that some “committee” might overturn our eternal inheritance.
The only person who affects where you end up is you.
