Library board meeting: There will be a meeting of the Bryan County Library Board Building Committee at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bryan County Library-Richmond Hill, 9607 Ford Ave. The public is invited to attend.

Barbecue and bazaar
Richmond Hill United Methodist Church’s 61st Barbecue, Bazaar and Silent Auction is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at 9050 Ford Ave.
The day’s menu includes whole hams, Boston butts, ribs, chopped ham, potato salad, apples and more. The bazaar will feature handmade items, while the silent auction will consist of donated items from merchants and individuals in Richmond Hill and the surrounding area.
Bulk sales will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., the auction and bazaar will run from 10 a.m-2 p.m., and dining and take-out will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Order forms can be found at rhumc.com and emailed to contact@rhumc.com, faxed to 912.756.4610 or mailed to RHUMC at P.O. Box 1480, Richmond Hill, Ga. 31324. Order forms also may be dropped off at the church office.

Firefighters needed
The Bryan County Fire Department needs volunteers. No experience is necessary; training will be provided, including the opportunity to become a certified firefighter in the state of Georgia.

Library closures
The Bryan County Libraries at Pembroke and Richmond Hill will be closed Nov. 22-24 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The library at Richmond Hill will close at 6 p.m. Nov. 21. They will reopen at 10 a.m. Nov. 26.
