Fourth program
Fort McAllister will hold its July Fourth program from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the state historic park south of Richmond Hill.
Pack a lunch and come celebrate the nation’s birthday with Civil War-era games and ice cold watermelon. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.75 for children.

Colonial Faire
Fort Morris State Historic Site will host its annual Independence Day Colonial Faire from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
There’ll be games of skill, prizes, live colonial music, musket and cannon firing and opening/closing ceremonies. Visitors also will be able to meet some of the Georgia Signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Libraries closed
The Bryan County libraries in Richmond Hill and Pembroke will be closed today for Independence Day.

Church sports
Registration for Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading for K5-sixth grade is now under way at First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill. Forms are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday in the church office. Deadline to register is July 14.

Electronic filing
Bryan County Superior Court Clerk’s office, in conjunction with the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority, has developed an online electronic filing portal, and UCC forms can now be filed online beginning Sunday at efile.gscca.org.

Early voting
Early voting for the July 31 general primary and nonpartisan general election begins at 8 a.m. July 9-21.
Voters can cast a ballot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Voter Registration Office at 151 South College St. in Pembroke and at the County Administrative Building at 66 Capt. Matthew Freeman Drive in Richmond Hill.
Both locations will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21.

Planners meeting
The Richmond Hill Planning and Zoning Commission will have a public hearing on the proposed “Purple Pipe” ordinance at 7 p.m. July 16 at City Hall.
The commission’s regular meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m.
