Richmond Hill Community Theatre is seeking five men and three women for its coming murder/mystery dinner production.
Open auditions will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Richmond Hill Public Library and from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 at What’s the Scoop Café in Richmond Hill.

Support group
The Sarcoidosis Support Group will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro.
Learn to cope with this medical mystery and get current information from physicians, natural foods and other health care professionals. Speak with those who have coped with sarcoidosis for many years.

History lecture
The Richmond Hill Historical Society is pleased to present Buddy Sullivan at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Richmond Hill Museum on Ford Avenue.
Sullivan will kick off the society’s 2011 lecture series with a presentation on his new book published by the University of Georgia Press.
Sullivan with entertain and inform with a history of the coast of Georgia, concentrating on the lifestyle on a rice plantation near Darien, as described through the rice plantation owner’s journals. Sullivan’s speech will be followed with a question and answer segment.
The historical society will host a reception with refreshments and a book signing after the lecture.
The Richmond Hill Historical Society’s meetings are free to the general public.

Tax help
Free tax preparation will be available beginning Jan. 18, courtesy of the Chatham Savannah Asset Development Coalition’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Earned Income Tax Credit Program.
Free tax preparation is available to taxpayers earning less than $52,000 in 2010.
In Bryan County, tax preparation sites include Pembroke Public Library at 1018 Camellia Drive in Pembroke, and Richmond Hill Public Library at 9607 Ford Ave. in Richmond Hill.

Aid night
The Richmond Hill High School Guidance Department will host a financial aid night at 7 p.m. Jan. 24, in the school cafeteria.
Carol Lott from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will be present to give updated financial aid information and answer questions.
