Members of New Beginnings Community Church will have a candlelight service at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, as well as a celebration of the Lord’s birth at 10:30 a.m. Christmas Day, at the church near the entrance of the Buckhead subdivision. Everyone is invited. For more information, call 308-7635.

Meeting changed
The Bryan County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the new Bryan County Board of Education Office at 8810 Hwy. 280 in Black Creek.
Mobile food pantry
America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia is hosting a mobile food pantry from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dixie Harn Community Center on Lanier Street in Pembroke.
The mobile food pantry helps low-income, elderly, disabled, unemployed and people at-risk. For more information, call 547-1972.

Oyster Roast
The Richmond Hill Senior Center will host its second annual Oyster Roast with Kissing Santa at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bryan County Health and Rehab Center at 144 Carter St. in Richmond Hill.
The festivities will start at the rehab center with Santa before relocation to the senior center at 189 Ball Park Road for the oyster roast, line dancing and more.

Holiday events
Corinth Baptist Church has several events planned for the holidays.
The children’s musical “The Christmas Gift” is at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
The adult cantata “Glory in the Highest” is at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. 
A Christmas Eve candlelight service is at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

Lights show
Homes of Integrity will host the second annual dancing-lights show from 6-10 p.m. through Jan. 2 at its model home in Richmond Hill.
The light show is free. Park in front of the model home at 65 Eddenfield Lane in Richmond Hill and tune the radio to 107.1 FM to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas.

Club fundraiser
The Pembroke Garden Club is having a winter raffle. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and are available from club members.
The grand prize is a garden dump cart with accessories. The second prize is a 30-inch fire pit with a poker, and the third prize is a garden tub full of accessories.
The drawing is Jan. 19 at Dixie Harn Community Center, 91 Lanier St., but the winner does not need to be present to win.

Caroling
Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church families will be caroling from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday in the Marsh Harbor, Heron Point and Tivoli Marsh neighborhoods.
Residents are invited to come outside and join them in singing songs of celebration for Christ’s birth.

Eve worship
Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church will have a Christmas Eve worship service at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24 in the sanctuary at 12965 Hwy. 144.
Worship Christ, the newborn King, with a traditional worship service. Dress up or dress down.

Christmas service
Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church will have a Christmas service Dec. 25 at 12965 Hwy. 144.
All Sunday school classes for children and adults will meet in the church house from 9:45-10:30 a.m. for a celebration of Jesus’ birth. There will be a birthday cake for Jesus, a Christmas quiz game with prizes and fellowship. Young people are invited to bring one of their new gifts for a show-and-tell time.
Worship is at 11 a.m. Dress up if you like, but dress casually if that is what works for you. The service will take a simpler tone and will be appropriate for all ages.
Childcare will be offered for younger children, but this day’s worship format will be geared for all generations.
