Pembroke Christian Church will host a weekly Prayer/Praise for Rain Service every Monday evening at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. This service is sponsored by the North Bryan County Ministerial Association.

Fundraiser for church
The August Birth Month of the Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church is sponsoring a fundraiser dinner April  20 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Dinners are $10 and a slab of ribs is $20.  
Dinners consist of barbecue ribs, barbecue chicken, fried shrimp, potato salad, backbone and rice, collard greens. Call  Mrs. Dolly Greene at 756-2412 or on the day of the dinner at 727-2163.  Dinners can be picked up at the fellowship hall.

Library board to meet
The Bryan County Library Board will hold a called meeting at 5 p.m. today at the Richmond Hill Public Library.  This meeting is open to the public.

Talent show
Richmond Hill High School will hold a talent show beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday in the gym.  Students will sing, dance, rap, play guitar, recite poetry, play the piano and take part in slam dunk and 3-point shooting contests and more.  The public is invited.

Captured flag returns
A celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fort McAllister Historic State Park to mark the return of the original Confederate flag, which was captured in 1864. A descendent of the Union soldier who captured the flag will speak. There will also be Civil War re-enactments, cannon firings and military drills. For more information call 727-2339.

Garage sale fundraiser
The second Annual Treasures on the Hill Ultimate Garage Sale sponsored by George Washington Carver Elementary School PTSO will be held from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the school.  Those interested in renting a space should call 667-4097 for more information.

Outreach mission
The Ministry of Spirit and Truth presents “Keeping it B.A.S.I.C. - Becoming A Soldier In Christ” in the Screven County High Auditorium at noon Saturday.

Megalodons of Medway
Bill Eberlein, black water diver and fossil hunter, will present a program at Fort Morris State Historic Site at 7 p.m., Saturday. Eberlein will be discussing and showing prehistoric Megalodon teeth and other fossils he has uncovered from the Medway River and other local waters. Community theater
The Richmond Hill Community Theatre will hold its annual general meeting on April 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Richmond Hill Library. Anyone interested in community theater is encouraged to attend.
RHCT needs actors, directors, board members, sound and lighting technicians and backstage people. RHCT is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enrich, entertain and educate the community of Richmond Hill with quality theatrical productions.

Volunteers needed
  The Bryan County Senior Centers are in need of volunteers to deliver meals to homebound clients from 10 a.m. to noon Monday-Friday in the Richmond Hill and Pembroke areas.

American Legion Post 164
American Legion Post 164 meets the second Tuesday of Each Month at 8 p.m. at the Post home, located on Highway 280 about a half mile west of Harvey’s Grocery store. All veterans are invited to attend.
