Despite the rain Saturday morning, which forced cancellation of horse rides and a few other outdoor activities, Lanier Primary School’s Winter Festival drew several hundred students, family members and faculty who filled the cafeteria and multi-purpose room.

After expenses were deducted, the festival raised more than $5,000 for the school through fun activity tickets, food sales, silent auctions and donations, reported Assistant Principal David Shultz.

The school fundraiser was lots of fun for the kids, as well as the grownups who accompanied them Saturday.
