Candice Casasday of Richmond Hill recently was initiated into collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi.
Casasday is pursuing a degree in education at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.
Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. The top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify.
Lambda Pi Eta
Jenna Carpenter of Richmond Hill, a junior at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., recently was inducted into the Phi Omicron chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the official national-communication honor society for undergraduates.
Lambda Pi Eta was initiated by the students of the Department of Communication at the University of Arkansas and endorsed by the faculty and founder, Dr. Stephen A. Smith, in 1985.
