Wildcats set to ring in football season with new stadium, campus

Contractors are working feverishly to get the new Richmond Hill High School completed with the first day of school set for Aug. 6. One of the centerpieces of the new facility will be a football stadium which will be one of the finest in the state.

While there is obviously work to be done the new Wildcats Stadium is well toward completion with the dedication game set for Aug. 22 against Glynn Academy, the first of three straight home games to begin the season. Following Glynn, the Wildcats will host Everglades High School from Miramar, Fl., and New Hampstead.

The Wildcats schedule is as follows: 

Aug. 22:  Glynn Academy; 29:  Everglades, Fl.

Sept. 5:  New Hampstead; 12:  at Wayne County; 19: at Buchholz, Gainesville, Fl.; 26: at Tift County*.

Oct. 3:  Camden County*; 10: at Valdosta*; 24:  Lowndes County; 31: Colquitt County*.

All home games start at 7:30 p.m.; *Region game.
