Wildcats fall in Border Classic, 35-32

Richmond Hill fell 35-32 to Baker County (Fla) on Saturday night in Brunswick in a Border Classic game delayed more than 90 minutes by lightning.

The Wildcats (2-2) were led by quarterback Ty Goldrick, who completed 14 of 27 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns, and Ravon Grant, who finished with eight catches for 219 yards and two TDs. Their performances earned them Plantation Lumber & Hardware Player of the Game honors.

Richmond Hill trailed 14-13 at the half.

Other standouts for the Wildcats included Zion Gillard, who carried 32 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns; Caleb Easterling added five carries for 13 yards. Nick Bliss had three catches for 83 yards and a touchdown and Andrew Matthews caught three passes for 52 yards.

Gabe Bauman had seven total tackles and one tackle for a loss; Tad Christman recorded six total tackles and a sack; Alyous Wilkerson had five total tackles and a sack; Brandon McDonald had six total tackles and a tackle for loss.

Blake Williams was 1 for 1 on point after attempts and all five of his kickoffs were for touchbacks.
