Doris Purser, Manager of Programs and Events at Richmond Hill City Center, has been recognized for her outstanding service to the Richmond Hill community after being named Rotarian of the Year by the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill. Purser has also been selected to serve as an Assistant Governor for Rotary District 6920, taking on a leadership role supporting three local Rotary clubs.
Purser has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill for seven years and a past club president. During this time, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to service, community involvement and strengthening connections among local organizations and residents. Her selection as Rotarian of the Year recognizes her dedication to the Rotary mission and the impact she has made through her involvement with the club and the community.
As an Assistant Governor, Purser will serve as a liaison between Rotary District 6920 and the Rotary clubs of Richmond Hill, Effingham County and West Chatham. In this new role, she will support the leadership of each club, help clubs work toward their annual goals, encourage collaboration and connect club leaders with district resources and initiatives.

I know she’ll bring that same energy, passion and commitment to supporting the leaders of these three clubs.”
In her professional role at Richmond Hill City Center, Purser manages programs and events at the community venue, helping create opportunities for organizations, businesses and community members to gather, connect and celebrate. Her work with the City Center closely aligns with her passion for bringing people together and strengthening the Richmond Hill community.
“Doris has an incredible ability to bring people together, whether she is working on an event at Richmond Hill City Center or serving through Rotary,” said April Cameron, general manager of Richmond Hill City Center. “She leads with a spirit of service and is always looking for ways to make an event, an organization or our community better. Purser’s new role as Assistant Governor will allow her to expand her service beyond the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill while continuing to support the organization’s mission of connecting people and taking action to address communities’ greatest needs.
