The Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association’s 12U, 14U and 18U teams fared well while representing southeast Georgia in the United States Tennis Association state championships in Macon earlier this month.

The 18U team finished as state runner up and Bridgett Cox was nominated as a sportsmanship superhero.

“All of our players and parents had a blessed time,” RHATA Coach Linda Sun said. “You can see our players mentally and physically grow stronger throughout the tournaments. Our teams got a lot of compliments for being positive, faithful and cheerful.”

Sun said RHATA gives “special thanks” to the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill for sponsoring the team and providing uniforms.
