J.E. Lanier American Legion Post 27 was proud to partner with the Bryan County NAACP this year to host the 3rd annual Veterans Resource Fair, bringing together local organizations and agencies dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

The event was an opportunity to connect veterans with valuable resources while also strengthening the relationships between the organizations that serve our community. Participating resources included Emergency Inc., Mary’s Place, Richmond Hill VFW, school board representatives, VA benefits resources, and many others.

Post 27 Commander Sally Rejas often reminds the community that the Legion’s mission is to support veterans and their families. While Post 27 is guided by its Four Pillars of service—Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth—the Post recognizes that partnerships allow the community to accomplish even more.

“We may not always have the resources a veteran needs directly, but we can help connect them with someone who does,” said Commander Rejas. “We want veterans and their families to know that they are not alone and that there are people and organizations ready to help.”

A special thank-you goes to Clyde Shepard of the Bryan County NAACP and Commander Sally Rejas of J.E. Lanier Post 27, who worked hard to bring together some of the best resources available to local veterans and their families.
They also extend their sincere appreciation to the local businesses, organizations, and community members who donated door prizes and supported this year’s event.
