All region teams picked
A handful of Richmond Hill High School basketball players were named to the 2009-2010 All-Region 3-AAA team recently.
Richmond Hill's Lorenzo Ross was a first team selection for the boys while Robbie Bynum was named second team and Vernon Jackson earned third team honors. Lady Wildcat Tyler Carlson was named first-team All Region while Kourtney Myers was tabbed for the second team.
Both teams were selected by Region 3-AAA coaches.

Track and Field
Bryan County High School finished first at  a recent home track meet and a few school records fell as well.
On the girls' side, Kimberly Williams turned in a time of 17.90 seconds in the 100 Meter Hurdles and 50.25 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles, broke her own records in both. In the boys' competition Willie Deloach's time of 10.82 seconds in the 100 meter dash broke his school record.

Coach Blake Nesmith said a number of athletes also set personal bests at the meet, including Sierra Newman, Olivia Melvin, Macy Newman, Taylor Butler, Kimberly Williams, Whitney Keith, Ryan Horton, Willie Deloach, Jacquez Page, Jermaine Byrd, Alex Cruz, DJ Driggers, Joseph Jenkins, Andre Anderson, Lawrence Erekosima and Paul Harris.
"We are off this week for Spring Break, followed by our last tune-up before region next Wednesday at Southeast Bulloch," Nesmith said.
