Richmond Hill's Gholar wins state 1,600 meters crown

Richmond Hill High School distance runner Kayla Gholar won the girls' state Class AAAAAA title in the 1,600 meter run. Gholar's finished with a time of 5 minutes, 6.45 seconds at the meet, which was held this weekend in Carrollton. 

Other top finishers for Richmond Hill included:

Jalen Murray finished second in the 3,200 meters with a time of 9:23.25.

 Murray placed fourth in the boys' 1,600 with a time of 4:22.86

Tajah Martin-Palmer finished fourth in both the girls' 100 and 300 hurdles. 

Richmond Hill's boys finished ninth in Class AAAAAA with 24 points. The girls finished sixth with 23 points.
