Richmond Hill High School alumnus Shaquille Walker added another honor to his track resume by setting a Brigham Young University indoor record in the 800-meter run Saturday at the Washington Invitational in Seattle.

Walker finished in a time of 1 minute, 46.97 seconds, according to byucougars.com, to set a new school record. In winning the race in that time, he also broke his own meet record of 1:47.44 set in 2015, according to gohuskies.com.

Last July, Walker won the gold medal in the 800 at the World University Games in South Korea. And that came after he earned All-American honors during the 2015 outdoor-track season by finishing in the top five in the 800 run and the 4x400 relay at the NCAA Championships in June in Eugene, Oregon.
