Richmond Hill survived the rain and the best efforts of Greenbrier to win the nightcap 5-4 in six innings to force a third game in the first round of the AAAAA state baseball playoffs. Brian Strahan threw another complete game for the win and Chandler Newman went 2-for-3 with 2 rbi. Alex Peraldo went 2for-4 and made what could have been the defensive play of the game by running down a deep fly ball in center field and throwing out a Greenbrier runner at second base trying to tag up. The game was called in the seventh inning after playing conditions made home plate unplayable.

In the first game RH committed six errors to allow 8 unearned runs to lose 12-3 in 6 innings. Kyle Jamar was the tough-luck losing pitcher. Dallas Daniel went 2-for-3 and Dominic Montalto drove in two runs. The deciding game will begin at 1 p.m. today at RHHS.
